My Mom and a Baguette... |
When I think about continuous learning the first thing that pops into my head is: My Mom. My Mom has a bachelor's degree she recieved when she was young... like a lot of people. However... it's been a few years since then (not too many Mom... don't worry, you're still kickin it) and she has had to up her skills! Most semester she would take at least one class at the community college in ordr to learn how to do photoshop, or illustrator, etc. etc. and as she's done this she's been able to market herself using new talents she's developed.
You can teach an old dog new tricks! (again... your not old Mom)
How totally awesome is that! Seriously... I take her example and think of her as a life long learner, which is what we all are! Learning is something so important that Heavenly Father wants us to do... after all we can take what we've learned with us when we die... but we can't take that new pool we just put into our backyard. (Although it's possible there's swimming in Heaven? But probably something much better!)
On mormon.org it talks about our values and one of them is: Lifelong Learning
So read up!
